This is the Homepage for the Essex County Girls League. Hopefully it will keep the league members up to date with results and fixtures during the season. I will take a few moments to explain the layout of the site. If you see a scrolling bar at the top of the page it is likely to be a new story just added to the site. The LEAGUE NEWS tab will list all the relevant upto date stories affecting the league. When you are in any of the stories clicking next or previous will scroll you through them. New stories will go at the top of the list. The OFFICERS OF THE LEAGUE will contain as much information about the league officers as they are prepared to release. LEAGUE HISTORY- well I reckon you can guess! LEAGUE DOCUMENTS will list all the downloadable documents that we need to run the website, release forms, transfer forms, match report forms etc. The next four tabs are pretty self explanatory, however if you also run a 'clubwebsite' site then you can link directly to these pages. Saving you the effort of having to fill them in. Hopefully they will be updated every Sunday evening. The fixtures will also be added as I get them however, at this stage of the season they will be changing weekly. The CLUB DIRECTORY pages should be used for details of the teams at each age group. I would like to see as much of that filled in as possible because I am terrible at finding my league handbook. However, this is an individuals choice so if you are happy for me to disclose the details they ask for here then email me either using the CONTACT ME section of the site or webmaster@ecgfl.co.uk. The least I would like to see would be for clubs with websites to send me those details. PHOTO GALLERY will probably not be used due to Child Welfarre issues. USEFUL LINKS will not contain links to club websites, rather it will be links to football related sites. Again if you have any in mind please send them in. HOW TO FIND US will probably have indetails of where are General Meetings will be held. Finally NOTICE BOARD. here I will put in requests for friendlies, tournaments trials, etc etc. If you have anything that you want to put in this section please make sure it has an end date otherwise it will not be put on (unless its looking for players which will be removed 2 months after going on) . There is nothing worse than looking through notice boards when they refer to something a year old!! Hopefully the site will be kept uptodate and the content fresh over the coming season. However, if it isnt dont shoot me I'm only the messenger. A web site is only as good as the content thats on it so keep the stories coming in. Paul
