4 V 4 at King Edmund School Rochford

The Essex County Girls League held their first solo 4v4 at King Edmund School on Saturday 27th Feb. Five Clubs were represented with teams in both U9 & U10 age groups, with a total 60 girls playing 4v4 football.
Established Clubs Writtle Minors, Island Girls and HAFC Claret & Blues along with newbie teams Leigh Ramblers & Jays Youth played some great football, showing some real future talent amongst both age groups.
A fantastic community spirit was on show with some future games of 7 a side football arranged amongst the Clubs.
Hopefully all teams took away a positive, fun experience and will attend future events with the same enthusiasm.
ECGFL hope to stage more of these development events to help progress and promote girls football
Anyone wishing to be included in future festivals please contact Jacki Meaney on ecgfl10s@btinternet.com or through Paul Blackwell on the League website
